Chain thickness allowance: make sure you can put your bracelet on by selecting a size at least 0.5" longer than your wrist measurement.

+0.5" → Snug
+0.75" → Comfortable
+1" → Loose
+1.25" → Baggy

A Snug fit can be a bit trickier to clasp at first, but it gets easier with practice. If you're new to putting bracelets on yourself, I recommend starting with at least a Comfortable fit or larger.
